Aurora
Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Norway. Her birthplace was in Stavanger on June 15th, 1996 and professionally known as Aurora. Her name could be also stylized as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015, and received great reviews from music blogs as well as the media. She has previously recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by the group Oasis to promote a Christmas ad from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway with her voice, gave her the track a little more attention. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memory is of finding the piano in her attic, then becoming enthralled by the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to pursue music as a passion rather than a profession. She began writing lyrics of her own. In addition to Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mother had told her the songs she composed could be used to not be famous for her, but instead to inspire individuals to recognize the importance of their work and influence in our world at large, she started singing them in public. She was suggested by her mother to be able to perform her music publicly in order so that people can see their own importance and how they impact the world. They didn't even be aware until fourteen. Aurora had no idea of being a famous singer. Aurora claims she loves creating songs. To her music, is the best way to express anything.
